Whirlwind Weekend in Minnesota and Wisconsin

I’m back home and doing the mom thing and the catching-up-on-the-household thing so in-depth blogging will resume tomorrow. In the meantime, six quick things.

I loved Pepin.
I loved Minnesota and Wisconsin residents.
I loved the Little House on the Prairie Musical.
I loved the Guthrie Theater.
I loved the Historic Anderson Inn.
I even loved the Mall of America.

It rained. That’s the only negative comment I can even muster. The rest of my experience, which I’ll detail in the coming days, was one long ray of sunshine.

How very Little House.

In the meantime, please take a look at this. That’s Almanzo. Whoa, Nellie.

And here’s what Esther has to say about her viewing of the show.

Thanks for the link! And I definitely agree with you. In addition to “Little House,” I loved Minnesota and the Guthrie, too. Minneapolis is a really nice city. The Mall of America was pretty amazing and I’m glad I saw it. I only spent a short time there. I guess it would take hours to walk through it completely.

You know, I loved the Little House books when I read them as a kid. I hadn’t returned to them for decades, but when I first read about the musical, I was so excited. It was just one of those instinctive things, like just thinking about the books brought back all of these great memories. And I’m so glad I had a chance to see the musical. Now I’m thinking I’d like to visit DeSmet. Maybe someday!
